Tim Marlow: Great Artists

El Greco

About this programme

In the run-up to the National Gallery's first major exhibition of paintings by 16th-century Greek artist Domenikos Theotokopoulos, Tim Marlow sheds light on the life and works of the man known to the world as El Greco. Influenced by the likes of Titian and Tintoretto, his most famous works, including The Adoration of the Shepherds and The View of Toledo are examined, while Marlow reveals how his modern-looking style inspired artists such as Jackson Pollock and Pablo Picasso.
