Frank Sinatra: The Vintage Years

Radio Times

Here’s a sneaky piece of counter-scheduling. If at any point in Eurovision’s banquet of kitsch you fancy a change of pace, flick over to see Frank Sinatra at the height of his powers in the 1940s and 50s, when he still had the hungry look of a stray kitten. His nonchalant phrasing on jazz standards would never be bettered, but check the competition in similar compilations of Dean Martin and Bing Crosby that follow this one. Or stick with Blue, Jedward and something weird from Belarus — your choice.
