About this programme
9/17. Tony Robinson and the team visit St Osyth, a village close to a 12th-century priory in Essex. However, the settlement itself only dates back to the 15th century and no trace of earlier habitation has ever been found - until now. A boatbuilder has discovered what appears to be the remains of a medieval wharf in the local river, which would suggest a busy town - and the archaeologists have three days to investigate.
