When a hopeless crime scene guy featured in an earlier episode, we assumed it was an in-joke. Ah yes, a nice touch for one of TV’s top procedurals to take a pop at a rival by implying CSI types are a bunch of geeks. However, it turned out to be no cheap shot because Dale Stuckey has become a recurring character, and now he has his biggest moment yet, as some vital DNA evidence he processes gets contaminated.
It’s an absolutely barking-mad episode with a jittery climax: typical season finale fare, in other words.
