They may have a more up-market postcode, but these well-bred wannabes are just as clueless as their scripted-reality rivals on The Only Way Is Essex. Those seeking edification during their school holiday won’t find any in this weekday repeat of the recent E4 series, but the pampered socialites do provide cringey comedy. Who knew, for instance, that Winnie-the-Pooh was by Charles Dickens? Or that there was no greater crime on Earth than to buy clothes from Top Shop?
In this opening episode, there’s romantic tension between pouty Caggie and old Etonian Spencer, while model Fredrik (face of Martin Clunes, hair of Aerosmith) falls out of a canoe.
