Both SVU and its L&O twin Criminal Intent are precision-engineered procedurals that crank out more narrative satisfaction in an episode than some shows manage in a series. They’re sometimes over-macho, but with surprises. For instance, the character that guest star Wentworth Miller (from Prison Break) plays in this episode is a cop so angry and gung-ho he makes Stabler look like a hippy. The irony is that a fragile rape victim will only talk to this dinosaur.
About this programme
1/24. New series. The detectives are forced to rely on an officer from another district when a rape victim refuses to talk to anyone except him, but Stabler has doubts about the trustworthiness of their unknown colleague. Introductions to the new ADA do not go well when she insists an interview with a suspect be brought to a premature close. Christine Lahti (Chicago Hope) joins the cast as the crime drama returns, with guest star Wentworth Miller (Prison Break).
