As Tom decides to approach Matt in his bid to sever all ties with Brian, a spanner may be thrown in the works. Actually, make that a whole toolbox. Credit-crunched Crawford - who's already in a precarious position thanks to the much-mentioned "current economic climate" - adds personal trouble to his catalogue of woes as he and business partner Stephen Chalkman have a fierce falling-out. As Chalky suggests to Lilian that Matt needs a break, it's hard to feel a holiday is what Matt deserves.
And while a discovery at the vicarage leads Shula to question her loyalty to St Stephen's, the race is on for the tenancy of the flat above the shop. With Fallon, Helen and Christopher all feeling that it's time to spread their wings, who will be feathering their own nest? The way the irritable Matt is treating his near ones, it may well be Lilian. |
