"My first semi-regular TV job - my first role out of Rada, actually - was Casualty. I played Frank Gallagher, the son of one of the main doctors, Max. It gave me a huge amount of television experience, which is sometimes hard to get when you first leave college. Casualty is quite a factory: the shooting schedule is quick and you get a lot of time in front of a camera. It was slightly intimidating, but I had the arrogance and ignorance of youth, which carried me through. I looked back afterwards and thought, 'I'm glad I didn't know then what I know now!'"
