Lindsay Duncan as Servilia - Radio Times, 30 November 2005

Lindsay Duncan took a leap in the dark when she accepted the role of Servilia in Rome - she hadn't seen the script. What sold her is that her character was the mother of Brutus and the lover of Caesar.

"'What a fascinating little triangle that is,' I thought. She's got to be interesting," says Duncan. But then, maybe the signs were right, anyway. "My husband had already bought me Rubicon, a highly praised book about the period. It was a great coincidence."
