"Me and Adrian Dunbar
had just finished the film Hear My
Song, and I think they wanted Adrian
for this part. He wasn't available, so they asked me. To be honest, I didn't find TV that
different from theatre or film - except there was a lot more hanging around. At the
time, it was a huge, huge show and I had a lot of fun with Michael Elphick and Neil
Morrissey - and because it was such a big show, it did up my profile.
To be honest, though, I've never taken that whole side of things very seriously. I just
feel very lucky to be doing such a great job."
