Grey's Anatomy gets spin-off - Radio Times, 21 June 2007 |

As Grey's Anatomy gets into its third series over here, it's vying with CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in the US for the top drama slot in the TV ratings. With Grey's success, the ABC network is now planning a spin-off of the medical drama.
UK viewers will get a preview of the new show, Private Practice, in October as part of the regular series of Grey's Anatomy. The new show centres on neonatal surgeon Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh, left), and two episodes near the end of the current run act as a "backdoor pilot", as it's known.
