Rob Brydon's big break - Radio Times, 23 March 2008 |
"I'd been a radio presenter in Wales for several years and I was doing OK with voice-over work (Toilet Duck was a favourite) and a few TV and film roles, but it was playing Keith in Marion & Geoff that really got me noticed.
"I won an RTS award for best newcomer, and the show itself won a hatful of awards - it even got a good response in America, which surprised me. And, of course, Keith Barret lived on, through a second series, a self-help book and right through to his own chat show."
