BBC Worldwide has released a new Doctor Who mobile ringtone, officially licensed from the BBC. The polyphonic masterpiece is based on the new theme produced by Murray Gold.

You can order your ringtone in two ways - by text or premium-rate hotline.

Before ordering, please first check the compatibility of the phone receiving the ringtone - see list below - and read the terms and conditions of the service.

To order by text

1. Check compatibility below to see if you can get a polyphonic or monophonic ringtone. Please ensure that your mobile is WAP-enabled before you order a polyphonic ringtone. You may need to contact your network to confirm this.

2. Check your make of mobile from the lists below.

3. Text DR then a space followed by REAL or POLY or MONO then a space followed by your make of mobile to 84747. Eg DR REAL or DR POLY

4. You will receive two confirmation messages.

5. The ringtone will be sent directly to your mobile phone and must be saved.

Please note your mobile needs to be WAP-enabled before it can receive a polyphonic ringtone.

To order by premium-rate hotline

Make a note of the mobile phone number to which the ringtone is to be sent.

Please ensure that your mobile is WAP-enabled before you order a polyphonic ringtone. You may need to contact your network to confirm this.

Call the premium-rate hotline number on 0906 500 2020. Follow the voice prompts, which will ask you to:

1. Enter the mobile phone number to which the ringtone is to be sent.

2. Confirm the make of mobile phone to which the ringtone is to be sent.

3. Confirm which type of ringtone you want (monophonic/polyphonic). The ringtone will then be sent directly to the mobile phone and must be saved.

Please note your mobile needs to be WAP enabled before it can receive a polyphonic ringtone.

Only one ringtone order can be made per call.

Costs

Ringtones ordered by text cost £3. Messages you receive are charged at £1.50 each and you will receive two messages. Calls to the premium-rate phone line cost £1.50 per minute and should last approximately one minute and you will also receive a message charged at £1.50.

Calls from mobiles may be charged at a higher rate dependent on your operator tariff, and access may be barred from some phones. As calls from mobile phones may be charged at a higher rate, ordering from a landline is recommended.

The operator will charge for every message or attempted order, so please be careful to enter the exact order information as requested.

You must have the bill payer's permission before using this service. All charges include VAT. Ringtones are only available in the UK (including Northern Ireland).
