Two years after his last TV appearance,
Michael J Fox has played a man with
cancer in Boston Legal.
He quit the series Spin City in 2000 because
of Parkinson's disease, which he has had to
live with since 1991.
"What I loved was being
part of the creative process again," says Fox.
"Something as simple as being in a night
shoot and smelling the carbon lights in the
cold air." But he has no plans to return to
work full time because, for him, acting is
now "like being a right-handed painter and
being forced to paint with your left hand".
