The Ashes to Ashes star recalls his role in romantic comedy series Love Hurts.
"I'd only been out of theatre school a couple of years and I was surviving on odd jobs and bit parts. A day's work here, a day's work there. The thing I'll always remember about Love Hurts is that it was the first time I was asked back. It was a huge milestone. You think, 'Yes, I couldn't have been that crap!' It made me realise I wasn't totally deluding myself about this acting malarkey."
