  Popular Science magazine in the US is a wonderfully eccentric read. Naturally not as weighty or academic as Scientific American, it is however much easier to understand. The audio podcast is equally eccentric and amusing, and features musician and comedy genius Jonathan Coulton talking to scientists from the pages of the magazine.
  
  In this episode, professor Edward Kravitz, the king of fruit-fly fights, talks about how his experiments with fly genes can make boy fruit flies fight like a girl. Yeah they're gonna flyslap you, man.

  Another Doctor Who audio podcast from the makers of Whocast. The name Torchwood is just an anagram of Doctor Who, and the show is too. Doctor Who without the Doctor, with added "adult" content like sex and swearing. But somehow, it works, even that weird gay undercurrent.
  
  If, like most Who fans, you enjoy picking apart every tiny detail of the show, then the most recent episode dissecting the final three episodes of series one will be like a picnic with a gourmet chef.

  VODcars is car porn, pure and simple. Do you think about cars all the time? This then is your "go to" video podcast. The self-titled "#1 Broadband Car Network" shows almost any cool car video they can get their hands on.
  
  By turns like a Top Gear report from a car show, or sometimes like an intro to a Japanese car-racing PS2 game. Recent episodes include: a feature on rotary engines starring the Mazda RX7 and the Ford GT and how it does 205 in 15 seconds. Va-va-vroom.
