A short series in 1989 got David Attenborough the cover. A few months later, Ben Elton joked in the magazine about how hard it is to get a Radio Times cover: "I don't know what will be on the Radio Times cover the week they deign to put this article in. Probably a walrus or a gnu. If David Attenborough wants to see something big and hairy the editor of RT slaps it straight on the cover. No questions asked." |
