Christmas films
Everyone knows there'll be a Bond movie sometime over Christmas. The season is ruined if there isn't The Great Escape and It's a Wonderful Life. And though we now have a dozen or more film channels premiering movies throughout the year, there's still something extra special about a Christmas film.
The Aviator
A big winner at the 2005 Oscars, Martin Scorsese's biopic tells the story of the early career of Howard Hughes (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) as a director and ground-breaking aviator. (BBC1)
Shrek 2
A sequel, but arguably one that's better than the original. Shrek and his princess bride are invited back to the castle - except nobody knows that they're both ogres. (BBC1)
Finding Nemo
Oscar-winning animation about a kidnapped clownfish called Nemo and his father's epic journey to find him. (BBC1)
Happy Feet
Another Oscar winner for best animated feature, it tells the story of an outcast penguin's struggle for acceptance. (Sky Movies Premiere)
