"Nasty" Nick Bateman, the pantomime villain of the original Big Brother, has pulled out of an appearance on the current series of the show.

Nick was to be the first of a number of past housemates facing short stints back in the house this week, as part of Big Brother's tenth birthday celebrations. But the 41-year-old is reportedly unhappy about being asked to compete against one of the current housemates in an assault course task. He will be replaced by BB1 winner Craig Phillips, who goes in first today.

Former housemates including BB8 winner Brian Belo will follow Craig into the house throughout the week, with BB7's "Princess" Nikki Grahame rumoured to be among them.

Meanwhile, current housemates Siavash and Dogface face the public vote this week. After each discussing nominations, they were punished with a five-hour ban on swearing. Both failed to mind their language and one of them will now be evicted on Friday.

Who are you most looking forward to seeing back in the BB house? And if you could have any former housemate back, who would it be? Post a comment below and let us know.

I would like to see Eugene back in the house, to see how he and Halfwitt get on, it will either be a funny meeting of the nerds or a clash of the geeks.
