Are you as excited as we are about The Doctor's upcoming Easter adventure (Saturday 11 April, 6:45pm), Planet of the Dead? Want to know more about it? Well, Radio Times reviewer Mark Braxton has seen it, and had this to say:
"The Time Lord seems to have met his match in the chic, catsuited Lady Christina. As the naughty aristocrat, Michelle Ryan is given quite an entrance here, diving like Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible into a Fort Knox-style museum to steal a priceless artefact. Evading the police, she meets the Doctor on board a London bus, and as getaway vehicles go, it's unbeatable. A wormhole opens up, transporting the double-decker and its frightened passengers into a world of sand."
"Planet of the Dead is a giddy mix of the exotic (chirruping fly men with flicky mandibles) and the provincial, the gags are great and the rippling orange dunes look fantastic. For now at least it's as much Doctor Feelgood as Doctor Who - funny, sunny and as British as the flag. Hold very tight, please!"
Yes, it's been too long since we had any new Who. Are you looking forward to getting your Easter fix with Planet of the Dead? Leave a comment below and let us know

Why is Russell T. Davies considered to be such a great writer if he leaves so many gaping plot holes and continuity errors in his scripts? He didn't even try to explain how the harness for the crystal allowed the bus to fly once its power source had been removed, or even how the two technologies were compatible at all, not to mention the obvious problems in suggesting that a single swarm, sensitive to cold, could reduce an entire planet, including the seas and ice caps, to sand in a year, why the button was on the outside of the forcefield, what prevented UNIT from following with armoured vehicles of their own, or why the driver couldn't just stop the bus in the first place.
At least it was better than the abysmal Christmas special.

I thought the damaged London bus was a little too close to comfort considering the 7 July attacks in London. However Doctor Who delivered as usual.

Can't say I was overly enthused by it - and how very convenient to have the right number of gravitational clamps - and Lady C missed a trick in not retrieving the discarded crystal. After all, it's alien and it'd have a stupendous value back on Earth! Pity the Lady C couldn't have gone off for a jaunt or two, even if she didn't return for the next special. Talking of Returns, I rather hope to see the Tenth Doc age toward his end to give Mr Tennant room to make any number of comebacks during his expected long and enduring film and tv career. I'm quite sure he would jump at the chance for the odd return to the role in the future.
As for that 200th business. Not withstanding the anomaliy that is The Trial of a Timelord season - is it one long yarn or 4 seperate ones - that aside, some say DW Story and some say DW Adventure. There is a difference.
Yes to the 200th as in Doctor Who production story, but it is not the Doctors 200th adventure. A mistake that has been perpetuated by past producers. The 19th one episode yarn - Mission into the Unknown (T/A)- was Doctorless, Tardisless and Companionless, it was however a prologue episode to the forthcoming 12 episode The Dalek Masterplan (V) and therefore in essence the first of 13 eps really. Even the production code (T/A) is anomalous and relates it to the previous adventure Galaxy 4 (T). Taking this into consideration, this would make the next special (S4:16) the Doctors 200th fully televised adventure.
Hey I could write a thesis on this subject alone - such are the peculiarities of Doctor Who - get a Doctor-ate too, I shouldn't wonder!
I wonder, is the Double Decker bus thingy a respective nod to the Iris Wildthyme adventures? - and for those of you who don't know what I'm chuntering on about - there always googy and wiki!

I CANNOT wait for the new Who episode! Although frankly, I thought that the trailer was a little lacking in action. But i'm sure it will be fab nevertheless!
