With the impending release of Quantum of Solace - Daniel Craig's second outing as 007 - we asked the 21st-century Bond which is his favourite entry in the series.

"Goldfinger is the most stylish film because they married everything together - the clothes, the Ken Adams sets and the story. Fantastic. But my favourite is From Russia with Love with Sean [Connery] and Robert Shaw - not a bad pairing is it? And it still stands up today. It's seriously cool."

"What defined those early movies was that they went on location to incredible places - Tokyo, the carnival at Rio. And that tradition carries on in our films. On Quantum we were in Panama and Chile, lots of other places. I remember as a kid looking at the films and going, 'That's why I want to be James Bond.' Plus the girls and the cars, of course."

So what can we expect from Quantum of Solace? "It's as fast as hell. It's like a whack in the face and I think that's what we need. It takes the story on, deals with all the unfinished business from Casino Royale, plus we've booted it up - the stunts look amazing, the locations look fantastic and there's not a lot of time to breathe. Next time we'll do something more lyrical…"

From Russia With Love is my favourite too. Robert Shaw and Lotte Lenya were two of the most memorable villains in all the Bond films and Daniela Bianchi was, in my opinion, the most beautiful Bond girl. Bianchi was Italian and couldn't speak English, so her voice was dubbed by another actress.

I lost interest in Bond long ago but Craig's portrayal has rejuvinated Bond to these tired old eyes!

Bond or Bourne...that is the question. Rather than an eco anti hero in Quantum of Solice...what about an eco-duo of Bond and Bourne working together for everyone and all life against the unsustainably wicked multi-national oil companies...Wow what a cracking franchise that would make.
