Following last night's shock double eviction - who could have predicted Kat's exit? - we're now voting for a winner. I thought a quick recap of the remaining contestants might be in order
Darnell
Says: "It's so hard for me, man" and "That's bulls**t, dude!"
In brief: Sort of the opposite of Michael Jackson, Darnell is an outspoken albino musician who wishes he had darker skin. When not enjoying a three-hour-long jamming session in the bath, antihero Darnell can be found tackling injustice and the inherent phoniness of his fellow housemates.
Why he should win: Unhappy in his own skin, Darnell seeks acceptance. Maybe if he won Big Brother, he'd finally feel he had gained that
Why he shouldn't:
he'd most likely see it as a comment on how different he is. Whether he will win or not is a hard one to call - he lost a lot of support after his ungentlemanly treatment of Sara, but now things are super-rosy again between them.
What he'd do with the money: Release a double A-side of Dem Girls/Cookie Love. Buy some respect.
Mikey
Says: "Rex, you are one of the most miserable, arrogant, selfish b*****ds I have ever met" and "You're a classic bully, Rex."
In brief: Blind Scotsman Mikey can sometimes come across as a bit of a moaner, but since he's the only person in the house to have stood up to Rex, we'll let him off.
Why he should win: For having no hidden agenda but always saying what he thinks. For challenging Rex when no-one else would, and for exposing him as the bully he is. For those reasons, Mikey should win!
Why he shouldn't: I'm not sure whether being a bit disgusting is enough to take you out of the running, but it's certainly not pleasant watching a grown man smear peanut butter over his face as he eats, and there are strong indications that Mikey's revolting dining habits have very little to do with his being blind. Witness the sprout eating task, in which he filled a bucket with chewed up brussels before dumping the whole lot over his head. We'll forget about that, though.
What he'd do with the money: Buy a loud-hailer to broadcast his gripes to everyone, wherever he goes.
Rachel
Says: "I don't hate anyone" and "Grapes are lush!"
In brief: Welsh Rachel has a heart of gold, if little in the way of imagination.
Why she should win: She's such a nice girl, you couldn't really say she doesn't deserve it. But does she really deserve it?
Why she shouldn't: Like Kat, Rachel makes people suspicious. After all, no-one could really be that nice, could they? I mean, what would be the point?
What she'd do with the money: Buy a truck, fill it with grapes and drive triumphantly into Torfaen honking the horn. And she'd probably share the rest of the cash with her loved ones, poor misguided thing that she is
Rex
Says: "I own a restaurant" and "I own a restaurant".
In brief: Rex is a spoilt, narcissistic bully who loves to dish out abuse to those weaker than himself, yet can't take it when it's his turn. Occasionally, his dry sense of humour makes me chuckle, but most of the time he's completely humourless.
Why he should win: He really shouldn't.
Why he shouldn't: Rex has clearly demonstrated that he already has far more money than is good for him. Plus all that other stuff, above.
What he'd do with the money: Buy a crate of disposable mobile phones, and a diamond tiara for Princess Nicole.
Sara
Says: "Bizarre?!" and "Rea-lly?"
In brief: If you were going to do an over-the-top impression of an Austraaahlian woman, it would sound like Sara. But she's fun and funny (and resilient, which she's had to be).
Why she should win: OK, so she's been a bit flirty, but after all the abuse she's taken from the men in the house, I think it would be nice to see her come out on top.
Why she shouldn't: Can an Australian win British Big Brother? They come over here, taking our men and our reality TV prizes
What she'd do with the money: Buy enough cider so that she never has to consider snogging anyone for it again. Book out every one of Stu's personal training sessions for the next year.

Fair enough, Rachel maybe hasn't set the screen alight entertainment-wise but I think for sheer moral integrity she deserves to win. Rex is a toxic egomaniac, Darnell is too bitter and self-absorbed and Sarah toys with Darnell's emotions and then feigns innocence. I wouldn't mind Mikey winning but I have to admire Rachel's strength of character in still having a smile on her face after all the jibes, needling and character assassinating she's gone through.

Mikey should win. I loved his stand-up routine, it was hilarious and I loved that no one but Mario laughed, it showed what humourless morons they were. However, the majority of BB's audience is women and I think they find Mikey a bit creepy at times. I can see Rex winning as he's like most girl's boyfriend.

Is this the first BB where the winner isn't obvious or inevitable? Usually there's at least one generally nice guy/gal you wouldn't mind winning. But I'd rather nobody wins BB9, really. Strangely, despite the fact Sara's win of £25k would ordinarily signal her graceful eviction soon after, she's actually the *only* person left who's generally likeable and a bit fun. Shame she's such a flirt and appears to be leading Darnell on like a hussy. But, of a disappointing final bunch, I'd still grudgingly like to see her win. Just, please, not Rex. Oh, and Rachel would have won if she'd developed a backbone over Rex's bullying, come out of Kat's shadow, and been more extrovert. Silly girl.
