The List: Five smashing Curb Your Enthusiasm moments

Hurrah! Curb Your Enthusiasm's eight series kicks off on More4 this weekend, detailing Larry's adventures after resurrecting Seinfeld in season seven, with this Sunday's episode (11:05pm) seeing Larry getting into all kinds of knots after finding out that his divorce lawyer isn't Jewish.

Bold, brilliantly observed and with absolutely no sacred cows, Curb's easily one of the best comedies on TV. So to get you in the mood before the series returns, here are some of our favourite scenes from the show...

1. Survivor - A rabbi asks Larry if he can bring a "survivor" to dinner at the Davids' house, which Larry takes to mean someone who survived the Holocaust. When the rabbi turns up with a chap from the TV show Survivor and Larry's father arrives with his friend who escaped a concentration camp, all hell breaks loose...

2. Larry explains men - When Larry comes home to find his wife drinking and laughing with her male tennis coach, he takes it upon himself to remind Cheryl of the realities of men...

3. Larry David: Fantabulosa - After Larry's been rehearsing with a choreographer for a role in a stage musical, he acquires some of his camp mentor's mannerisms.

4. Oy vey! - When Larry needs a favour from a Jewish acquaintance, he turns the Yiddishness up to 11.

5. "Don't bother Larry, he's in New York" - Larry's mother insists on her deathbed that no-one should bother him in the event of her death. So Larry's naturally a bit miffed to have missed her funeral...
